FILM & COMMERCIALS

Over the years I have conceived and produced a variety of film and commercials for clients including large blue-chip multinationals to small startups.  Utilising film in TV campaigns or online within their digital campaigns and social media. My involvement often included concept, storyboarding development, client liaison, art direction, art department to production and editing. Below are a couple of my favourites. Check out the Youtube channel with further examples of film

Dragon Speak Naturally

Brief //

Launch speech recognition application and demonstrate how you can do almost anything with your voice

The idea //

A skydiver takes speech recognition software to the limits -- sending an email from 13,000ft... 12,000ft... 11,000ft...

Client //

Dyson Lighting

The brief //

Dyson wanted a film for their social media channels to launch Jake Dyson Lighting to a global audience. The key differentiator was that Dysons lights saved energy with their unique 'heat pipe technology'

The idea //

As the majority of the budget was utilised on the ABL campaign we had to create drama and intrigue on a shoestring. Utilising a dramatic and iconic shot of lightbulbs smashing we grabbed peoples attention as they scrolled and dramatised the core idea of saving on hundreds of lightbulbs over the 37 years that the light could just keep going. The campaign was highly successful grabbing headlines around the world in tech and design magazines.

Aptawelt Germany

The brief //

Launched around Valentines - A film to create debate & discussion on social channels about the long term effects of parental love and emotional stability and how it affects your child.

The idea //

We wanted to demonstrate that love is that unique bond with your child, which cannot be put into words and which nothing and nobody can destroy. It is the food and protection that your breast milk gives. The confidence with which you touch your newborn. The joy that you give him with a tender smile, a comforting cuddle moment or a loving kiss.

We wanted to communicate that every time you show your love to your baby, you have a long-term impact on their development and health. By sharing these scientific insights we hoped to create a lifelong affiliation between mothers and the brand. A place that they can go to to get real advice and scientific knowledge from to help them in their parental journey.

Rideguard

Brief //

Launch a new eco-friendly custom mudguard design for a small local Bristol business

The idea //

We liaised with some talented international mountain bike pros with a massive following on social media to leverage their influence and ability to talk directly to our target market. We then showcased the new illustration and design with some of their exceptional riding abilities to launch the latest in the range. I designed, created and edited the film assets for Instagram Stories, Facebook and the main feed as well as some of the new mudguard designs. We shared via Rideguards social channels whilst our pros shared on their channels enabling us to get in front of over half a million extremely targeted, engaged mountain bike lovers eyes. Not bad for a small local company with no budget.

Client //

Ecotribo

Brief //

Launch an Eco brand that truly makes a difference.

The idea //

Ecotribo is my passion side project where I demonstrate how design can be utilised for good. Exploring how we can use local waste materials and create positive outcomes for people and the planet. I designed and made the chair called 'Ocean' from recycled local materials. Each element of the chair comes together to build the chair. The chair is available to purchase via the Ecotribo eCommerce site.
